Victoria Memorial: Amongst the must visit places of Kolkata is the Victoria Memorial. It is a huge white-marble structure and the most enduring of remains of the British Raj in India. The structure, which is now floodlit in the night, gives a fascinating site. It has been now converted in a museum that houses the most impressive collection of memorabilia's from the days of Raj.

Indian Museum: The Indian Museum of Kolkata was built in 1874 .The museum is a place to see while on tour to Kolkata, for its beautiful structure. The oldest museum in India, it has one of the rare collections of archeological. The entrance to the museum houses an original Lion Capitol, the national symbol of India.

The whole bridge is 450 m long without any pylon in the river. Kali Mandir: While on tour to Kolkata you must visit the Kali Mandir, dedicated to Goddess Kali, the goddess of destruction. This is the temple from which the old village Kalikata took its name, which, in turn, also gave the city its name.

Howrah Bridge Belur Math: It is the headquarters of Ramakrishna Mission and forms one of the main tourist attractions while on tour to Kolkata. The place was founded in 1899 and houses a structure that was designed to be a church, temple, and mosque all in one.

Digha: On your tour to Kolkata you can also visit the city of Digha.It is situated to the southeast of Kolkata on the Bay of Bengal. The total distance between the two cities is 174 km. Digha is a 7 km long beach and is the most popular beach resort to be visited while on tour to Kolkata. At the city of Digha the latest attraction is the Science Center established by the National Council of Science Museums. You can also see the Asia's largest Marine Aquarium, which is opposite the hospital in Digha. Another place to visit is The Amravati Lake, where you can enjoy a boat ride.
