South India Birding Tour

South India Birding Tour Introduction: Travel Point India takes you on a South India Birding Tour starting from Agra to Bangalore and finally to Goa. South India Birding Tour covers a number of wildlife sanctuaries mostly in Karnataka.

Day 01 Agra - Patna Bird Park - Agra

Transfer to hotel after you reach Agra at 0600 hrs. Drive to Patna Bird Park (1½ hr). Watch rosy pelicans, waders, ducks, cranes etc. Back to Agra at 1530 hrs and visit Taj Mahal in the afternoon. Take a train to Delhi at 2000 hrs; reach Delhi at 2200 hrs and transfer to the hotel.

Day 02 Delhi - Bangalore - Nagarhole National Park (D)

Take a flight to Bangalore in the morning that will take about two-hours then drive to Nagarhole National Park a six-hour journey. Overnight stay at Kabini River Lodge.

Day 03 and 04 Nagarhole National Park (B,L,D)

Spend the day watching birds and wildlife on jeeps, elephants, coracles and motorboats. Night stay at the lodge.

Day 05 Nagarhole National Park - Bangalore - Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary (B)

In the morning drive back to Bangalore halting en route for a visit to Mysore (8 hrs.) Arrive Bangalore in the evening and take an overnight train to Londa, which is the railhead for Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 06 Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary (B,L,D)

Move to Bison River Resort at Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary in the morning from Londa. Take a leisurely walk along the river. Drive in jeep in the afternoon for bird watching. Overnight stay.

Day 07 Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary-Goa

Bird watching in jeeps or on foot in morning. Proceed to Goa after breakfast, which is a four- hour journey. Check-in at the hotel in Goa and overnight stay.

Nagarhole National Park

Day 08 and 09 - Goa

Explore Goa for two days especially bird watching in Salim Ali Sanctuary, Bondla, Tambdi Surla or Cotigoa. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 Goa-Delhi/Bombay

Fly back to Delhi or Bombay in the morning to for your onward destination.

Tour ends.
