West India Tour

Travel to Aurangabad Introduction: West India tour takes you to some of the exotic locations of Western India. Starting from the commercial capital of India, Bombay or Mumbai as it is called now, you move to the treasure trove of rock carved temples at Ajanta and Ellora caves in Aurangabad. You also pass through Gir National Park and other interesting places that include Chorwad, Jamnagar, Bhuj and Vodadara.

Day 01: Arrive Bombay

You will be received at the airport. Transfer to hotel and traditional Indian welcome there.

Day 02: Aurangabad

Tour Bombay in the first half of the day visit Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum, Marine Drive. Flight to Aurangabad in afternoon and transfer to hotel.

Day 03: Aurangabad

Spend your day visiting the famed Ajanta and Ellora caves that were believed to be built between 200 BC and 600 AD.

Day 04: Surat

Drive to Surat, the next day and visit Saptara, the most picturesque hill resorts in Gujarat.

Day 05: Bhavnagar

Enjoy the picturesque beauty of Bhavnagar as you drive to this coastal town in Gujarat. Spend the day visiting some of the popular landmarks in the town.

Day 06: Sasan Gir

Drive to Sasan Gir in morning and visit Palitana en-route. Visit a number of beautifully carved Jain marble temples.

Spend your afternoon with the king of jungle and his cabinet at Gir National park, the last home of the Asian Lion.

Day 07: Chorwad

This is the place to steal some quiet moments away from the crowd. Take a stroll along the golden beach and visit one of the important pilgrim centers of Hindus, Somnath Temple, the major Hindu pilgrim center.

Day 08: Chorwad

Put your nose to some exciting book or explore Chorwad the way you like it.

Day 09: Jamnagar

Drive to Jamnagar in morning and en-route visit Porbander, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Jamnagar is known for Palaces, Fort, Tie & Dye Fabrics.

Day 10: Bhuj

Drive to Bhuj, which is gateway to Kach, the desert with beaches, wild life, history and the living heritage of crafts.

Travel to Vadodra

Day 11: Bhuj

Explore Bhuj. Head to some craft centers and shop for some exotic items of art and craft.

Day 12: Utelia

Drive to Utelia in morning and visit Ahmedabad Utelia enroute. It is a small village that has still to catch up with modern India, is famous for Utelia Palace.

Day 13: Vadodra

Drive to city of garden and palaces, Vadodra.

Day 14: Bombay

Return Bombay by air and transfer to hotel.

Day 15: Departure Bombay

Airport transfer to catch a flight for onward destination.
