Kaziranga National Park Kaziranga National Park: Travel Point India takes you on East India Wildlife tour, where you can visit the Kaziranga National Park. It is a small national park located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.This National Park covers an area of around 450 sq km. The swamps and tall elephant grass makes it an ideal habitat for the Indian one-horned Rhino. Besides the Rhino, the park has Elephants, Bison, Swamp Deer, Hog Deer, Sloth Bears, Tigers, Leopard Cats, Jungle Cats, Otters, Capped Langurs, Hoolock Gibbons, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Buffalo, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, and many more species of animals. Among the birds, there are the Oriental Honey Buzzard, Black-Shouldered Kite, Black Kite, Brahminy Kite, Pallas's Fishing Eagle, White Tailed Eagle, Grey-Headed Fishing Eagle, Himalayan Griffon, and a number of migratory birds, which visit the park during winters. The lowland plains make wildlife viewing in the Kaziranga National Park easy. On the way to Kaziranga, you can visit the tea plantations at Karbi Anglong. The best time to visit the park is between mid-November and early April.

Sunderbans Sunderbans: The Sunderbans,is the world's largest delta, formed by the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghana rivers.The place is rich in wildlife and is spread over an area of 1,000,000 hectares. The vast swampy delta comprises of mangrove forests, swamps and Forest Island, all interwoven in a network of small rivers and streams. The Sundarbans National Park, home of the Royal Bengal Tiger and the largest mangrove forest in the world, form the core of this area. The Sunderbans forest is home to more than 400 tigers. The Bengal Tigers have adapted themselves very well to the saline and aqua environs and are extremely good swimmers. As you enter the adventurous wild land of the Sundarbans you'll be thrilled to see the chital deer and rhesus monkey. The aqua fauna of Sunderbans include variety of fishes, red fiddler crabs and hermit crabs.
